Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or CRT provides respiratory care to patients primarily in adult critical care and emergency department settings. Responsibilities include airway management ventilator management and administering respiratory therapies. The role requires working 12-hour night shifts including every other weekend and participating in on-call duties as needed.

Responsibilities:
- Administer endotracheal tube/suctioning.
- Perform extubation and intubation assists.
- Place nasal and oral airways.
- Perform nasal airway suctioning and oropharyngeal suctioning.
- Collect sputum specimens.
- Perform tracheostomy/suctioning.
- Administer hand-held T-Piece and trach collar nebulizer treatments.
- Administer bag and mask ET Tube High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) T-Piece Trach Collar and Venturi Masks oxygen therapy.
- Manage BiPAP and CPAP ventilation.
- Troubleshoot high-pressure alarms.
- Wean patients from mechanical ventilation.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs.
- Document patient care in Cerner.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active state license.
- BLS certification.
- RRT or CRT certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience.
- Adult Critical Care experience.
- Emergency Department experience.
- Endotracheal tube/suctioning skills.
- Extubation skills.
- Intubation Assist skills.
- Nasal airway placement skills.
- Nasal airway suctioning skills.
- Oral airway placement skills.
- Oropharyngeal/suctioning skills.

Special Considerations:
- On-call required as needed for the department.
- Will float if needed.
Scheduling:
- 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts (1800-0630).
- Every other weekend required.
- Discuss schedule requests with manager.
- Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours.
