Job Summary
We are looking for compassionate caregivers and/or CNAs to join Village Caregivings growing team! We offer a competitive wage scale and a W-2 for tax withholding purposes. The right candidate has a can-do attitude a friendly demeanor good customer service and the ability to provide many levels of support to our clients in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderlypatients or those recovering from surgeries injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs such as showering bathing dressing and eating
- Companionship
- Remindclients to take prescribed medication and assist clients with ambulation
- Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctors appointments errands walks etc.)
- Plan and prepare meals
- Assist with physical therapy exercise
- Perform light housekeeping duties
- Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals including serving and other tasks if necessary
- Use common sense principals
Qualifications
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
- Timeliness and self-discipline
- Availability to meet client needs as requested
- Dependability
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with physical capability to perform job-related duties
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
- Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
- Available to work different shifts including nights and/or weekends
- Prior experience in a healthcare hospitality or in-home care environment (preferred)
- Willingness to enforce health and safety standards
- Supportive and compassionate
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience as a Caregiver (preferred)
- CNA/SRNA/HHA or completion of a CNA Program (preferred)
- Take pride in providing high quality care
- Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
