Gasser Chair is looking for a full-time experienced Upholstery Associate to join our team! A well established organization in business for over 79 years Gasser Chair is the worlds premier manufacturer of built to order seating products for casinos as well as for hospitality and institutional needs.
Responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials prior to performing operations to ensure proper quality standards and alert the supervisor to any substandard raw materials or prior operations
- Use staple guns scissors air drivers hammers mallets or other tools to apply and install batting foam poly-filler and cut fabric to chair framework in the assembly of custom hand-crafted furniture according to specifications to achieve high quality appearance and comfort
- Measure and cut fabric and other materials with the aid of patterns or stencils and industrial cutting tools to precise sizes and dimensions
- Follow and comply with all safety policies at all times
- Maintain cleanly departmental housekeeping standards
Qualifications
- Good dexterity with hand tools
- Good eye for details
- Good measuring and math skills
- Ability to read and follow directions
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Must pass background check and drug screening
