Your Role & Responsibilities
Utilize various transportation provider systems to facilitate movement planning and scheduling
Negotiate and obtain freight rates from carriers
Coordinate product delivery to terminals and customers
Approve and review freight bills for accuracy.
Reroute freight as needed to meet demands and minimize cost.
Answers questions regarding sourcing from internal and external customers as needed.
Ensure goods are shipped in the most timely and efficient manner.
Ensure carrier rates and information are maintained in Transplace
Responsible for rating LTL truckload and tank truck orders
Approve carrier invoices
Arrange truckload and LTL carriers for inbound outbound and 3rd party shipments
Package and create shipping documents for sample requests
Verify COAs on inbound deliveries
Maintain Brenntag fleet license plates cab cards and IFTA credentials
Responsible for Container inventory management
Cross trains and backfills for other Logistics Coordinators
Special project support as needed.
Your Profile
Education & Experience
BA/BS in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or 5 years in logistics
Experience with all modes of transportation (marine rail and trucking)
Proven supplier management experience
Second language proficiency a plus
Team player with proven ability to work well under pressure and deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and follow up
Strong Microsoft Office and Excel skills
