Position Overview
We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to support a high-acuity acute care hospital environment. This role is responsible for performing diagnostic and screening nuclear medicine procedures using radioactive materials and advanced imaging equipment. The technologist will work closely with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver accurate timely imaging that supports informed clinical decision-making while maintaining strict compliance with radiation safety and ALARA standards.
Required Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field
ARRT (Nuclear Medicine) or NMTCB certification required
Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist license required
BLS (Basic Life Support) required
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required
Responsibilities
Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures for diagnostic and screening purposes in accordance with ALARA principles
Prepare administer and document radiopharmaceuticals following established safety and regulatory guidelines
Operate monitor and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety
Process organize and maintain imaging studies and related documentation
Verify patient identity explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety throughout examinations
Maintain accurate records and comply with departmental policies regulatory requirements and safety standards
Collaborate with radiologists physicians and interdisciplinary clinical teams to support efficient workflow and diagnostic accuracy
