Established in 2010 St Lukes Radiation Oncology Network (SLRON) operates from three Dublin locations St Lukes Hospital and St. Lukes Radiation Oncology centres in St James and Beaumont Hospitals. St Lukes Radiation Oncology Network is dedicated to being a world class leader in cancer treatment patient care research and striving for this excellence the holistic needs of our patients and their families are our greatest concern.
The purpose of MEDLIS Project Manager - Grade VII post is to co-ordinate the implementation of MedLIS to St. Lukes Hospital and to provide a system administrator and management function after the roll out phase. MedLIS is the new national Laboratory Information System (LIS) to manage laboratory tests. It allows healthcare providers to electronically book tests and access test results. MedLIS is being introduced to improve quality of care and patient safety. The implementation project involves both the Laboratory and almost all units of the hospital that are involved in the direct care of patients i.e. its multi-faceted. The National MedLIS programme is currently in its roll-out phase and St. Lukes Hospital Dublin is part of wave 3. Go-live is expected in the second half of 2026.
There is currently a vacancy for one whole-time two-year specified purpose contract in The Pathology Laboratory St Lukes Hospital Highfield Road Rathgar Dublin 6.
A panel may be formed as a result of this campaign for Lukes Radiation Oncology Network (SLRON) from which current and future permanent or part-time specified purpose vacancies may be filled.
