General Internal Medicine- Faculty

The Department of Medicine Section of General Internal Medicine at Temple Universitys Lewis Katz School of Medicine is seeking qualified Internal Medicine trained applicants for a full time General Internal Medicine (GIM) faculty position.

• Provide comprehensive patient-centered care to our patients in outpatient primary care settings while teaching the fundamentals of general internal medicine to the healthcare providers of the future.
• 17 full-time faculty members whose interests include medical education obesity hypertension HIV and Hepatitis C integrative medicine social determinants of health trauma-informed care medication-assisted therapies palliative care and geriatrics.
• Supportive environment with faculty involved in numerous innovative educational and research programs in areas such as clinical skills training physician-patient communications ambulatory medical education and clinical trials.
• Highlights include: providing outpatient HIV primary care ambulatory addiction medicine inpatient addiction medicine consults along with the precepting of internal medicine residents.

Candidate Qualifications

• D. D.O. or Foreign Equivalent
• Board Certification or Eligibility in Internal Medicine
• Board Certification or Eligibility in Addiction Medicine preferred
• Unrestricted medical license and DEA in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania or the ability to obtain it prior to start date
• Credentials for a faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level or above
• Committed to supporting and promulgating diversity equity and inclusion among faculty staff students and patients
• Linguistic competence in Spanish preferred but not required
