Were seeking someone to join our team as the Head of Privacy Engineering in the Data Governance & AI Non-Financial Risk (NFR) team to provide leadership and oversight to support the success of the global Privacy Engineering team who are responsible for privacy NFR tooling.
In the Legal & Compliance division we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firms management of legal regulatory and franchise risk. This is a Vice President level position within the Privacy NFR Team which is responsible for promoting fair transparent and lawful practices related to the processing of Personally Identifiable Information (PII).

What youll do in the role:
> Oversee the privacy risk assessment platform and privacy NFR tooling.
> Ensure that risk assessments transfer assessments and other privacy-based requirements are integrated into the Firms control framework partnering with Technology Third Party Risk Management Legal Privacy NFR AI NFR and others to achieve this.
> Oversee relevant privacy / data protection regulatory and compliance initiatives including partnering on the implementation of new laws where tooling updates are required.
> Develop procedures metrics and reporting to support Privacy initiatives as required.
> Escalate issues as required to the appropriate project teams business partners or senior management.
> Present at senior stakeholder meetings and relevant steering committees.
> Foster continuous improvement of Privacy Engineering services and collaborate with other privacy leaders to respond to rapidly changing privacy landscape. What youll bring to the role:
> Strong data protection and privacy experience ideally in the Financial Services industry.
> Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
> Previous governance / program management experience.
> Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
> Proactive and resourceful with a can-do attitude.
> Team player with a collaborative approach.
> Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120000 and $205000 per year at the commencement of employment. However base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package which depending on the position may also include commission earnings incentive compensation discretionary bonuses other short and long-term incentive packages and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs
