The Opportunity

For our nearshoring team in cooperation with team in France and Belgium we are welcoming you to join our nearshoring team in Riga Latvia as a SysOps Engineer!

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Linux/RedHat systems in Worldlines production environment
• Ensuring high performance in accordance with SLAsMonitor troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues
• Perform regular system updates and patch management
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing
• Maintain compliance with PCI DSS and other relevant security standards in the Linux environment
• In a Cloud context responsible for deploying managing and operating systems on the Cloud platforms
• This position requires on-call duties according to rotational shift as this is support to business-critical systems

Who Are We Looking For

We look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change step up and show whats next people with passion can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and practice this means:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in system administration or Linux systems or a similar role;
• Up-to-date experience with Linux System Engineering or Linux Administration
• Hands-on experience with Ansible and Terraform
• Basic understanding of virtualization virtual machines etc.
• Experience in business continuity and disaster recovery planning
• Preferably expertise in RedHat CentOS
• Preferably experience with cloud solutions
• Advanced problem-solving skills proactive mindset and ability to optimize system performance
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
• Proactive analytical team player who can work independently and take ownership of tasks
• Experience in financial services or payment processing is a plus
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field is advantageous
