TheMiddle East/Africa North Wiki Internwill be responsible toImprovethe Wiki pages for ME/ANregion includingcompilinglinks to newly discovered resources improving organization and identifying content that may be promoted to patrons or included in user internmayalso develop content for marketingand trainingmaterialssuch asblogsvideos etc.
Work with ME/ANOutreach Content and Product teams to enhance Wiki content
Work withME/ANteams to review relevant Wiki pages.
Identifyand addgenealogy databases websites and other resourcesto assist patrons in their ancestral research
Highlight research strategies that provide genealogical guidance
oWork withME/ANOutreach team to create 3educational resourcesto facilitate utilization of Wiki
Work with the Outreach team to promote relevant portions of the Wiki
College level student or recently graduated college student
Bachelors Degree (awarded or nearing completion) in Middle East Studies Arabic Language History or related field
Arabic language reading proficiency (Hebrew and/or Farsi a plus)
Good research skills
Ability to synthesize knowledge into written materials and products
Cultural sensitivity and knowledge of the Middle East region and various demographics
Communication skills - Ability to collaborate and work well with individuals within and without the organization.
Self-starter
Strong organizational skills
Comfortable working in a remote environment

Pay Rate: $21/hr
Hours per week:Maximum 28 hours per week
Length of Internship: 1 year max can be less.
