Position Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist (Contract)

Duration: 13-Week Assignment
Pay Rate: $85/hour (Approx. $3187.50 weekly)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week contract assignment in New York NY. The technologist will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment and producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and strict adherence to radiation safety standards and institutional protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures and therapeutic studies
Prepare calculate and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and safety guidelines
Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment including gamma cameras SPECT and PET systems
Accurately position patients and provide clear instructions to ensure optimal image quality
Monitor patients before during and after procedures for any adverse reactions
Adhere to radiation safety protocols to protect patients staff and self
Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC required)
Perform routine quality control checks on imaging equipment and radiopharmaceuticals
Collaborate with radiologists physicians nurses and interdisciplinary team members
Ensure compliance with all state federal and institutional regulations
Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment
Educate patients on procedures and post-exam care
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum of 2 years of recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
Experience performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures
Strong knowledge of radiopharmaceuticals and radiation safety standards
EPIC EMR experience required
Travel experience preferred
