Job Summary

AECOM is looking for a Project Coordinator to join the Markham Buildings Places team. This position is for a newly created position.

Mandatory Security Clearance Requirements

Applicants must hold OR be eligible to obtain:

Reliability Status clearance (minimum)

Secret clearance (required for most projects)

Eligibility Requirements:

Must have lived in Canada for the past 5 years (Reliability) or 10 years (Secret)

Clearances are granted by the Contract Security Program (CSP) Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC)

Major Responsibilities

Provide project coordination/control and review designs to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements

Support project managers with routine and non-routine tasks

Attend meetings and prepare minutes of meetings

Monitor project costs and budgets

Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports

Prepare and/or review documents (drawings reports contractor shop drawings etc.)

Act as liaison between third parties and client

Prepare project schedules and monitor progress of work

Review and compile client submittals

Collect and analyze data under the supervision of an experienced project manager

Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision

 


Qualifications :

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelors Degree or College Diploma in the engineering or architecture field two (2) of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education

Must be able to obtain or hold valid security clearance of reliability and/or secret (see Security

Obtaining clearance must be made in a reasonable amount of time to work on projects

Preferred Qualifications:

3 to 5 years project coordination experience with buildings

Project management experience would be an asset

Design and/or review of engineering plans

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Interacts with clients in a professional manner

Strong interpersonal negotiating problem-solving and analytical skills

Able to work well under pressure

Detail oriented adept at multi-tasking and prioritizing workloads

Self-starter ability to multi-task
