Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort is seeking an experienced and passionate Conference & Events Manager to lead the planning coordination and delivery of exceptional conferences weddings and events at our stunning Hunter Valley resort.
About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Sales you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end conference and events operation ensuring seamless execution strong client relationships and outstanding guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of conferences events and weddings from initial enquiry through to event delivery and post-event follow up
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients building strong relationships and delivering personalised service
- Coordinate event logistics including function spaces room blocks catering AV suppliers and staffing
- Work closely with all event coordinators within the C&E team to ensure all operational deliverables are meet alongside our F&B team for smooth event execution
- Lead train and support the conference and events team
- Drive revenue through proactive sales up-selling and repeat business opportunities in partnership with the department head
- Prepare quotes contracts function sheets and forecasts
- Ensure all events comply with WHS licensing and company standards
- Be present on-site during events including weekends and evenings when required
Qualifications :
About You
- Proven experience in a Conference & Events Manager or senior events role ideally within hotels or resorts
- Strong organisational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment
- Commercially minded with experience managing budgets and revenue targets
- Flexible and adaptable with availability to work evenings weekends and public holidays for complete client focused event delivery
