The Center for Demographics and Policy is hiring a creative and organized Student Assistant to help bring our research and storytelling to life. You will support the Centers digital communications from designing graphics and event materials to helping produce and promote our monthly podcast. If you are excited about crafting visuals managing projects and building content that elevates academic work for broader audiences this role offers hands-on experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
Podcast Production Assist with managing production of the Centers monthly podcast. Pre-production: Set up test and prepare all equipment for production. Production: Record sessions (in studio or via Zoom). Post-production: Edit podcast and create content for social media including short clips. Digital Media Create marketing materials and distribute them via social media and digital platforms Print/digital assets: Develop professional presentations event flyers invitations academic report layouts visual summaries and social media content. Social media: manage postings content creation and analytics of the Centers channels Websites: Build out and update websites to make content organized and accessible to the public. Administration Perform administrative tasks related to communications projects. Uploading organizing and maintaining digital files in a system. Support project management and tracking of administrative tasks.

Required Qualifications
Experience with audio/video editing tools (e.g. iMovie Audacity Adobe Express or similar) Demonstrate creativity using graphic design to convey ideas; Canva required Ability to manage social media accounts(LinkedIn Facebook Instagram and Youtube). Strong organizational skills to assist with building and maintaining filing systems. Excellent time management and attention to detail. Ability to work independently follow through all tasks and communicate updates.
