Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) to provide high-quality patient-centered rehabilitative care within an acute care hospital setting. This role is responsible for delivering comprehensive physical therapy services across the care continuum including evaluation treatment planning and implementation of evidence-based interventions. The Physical Therapist collaborates closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes mobility and functional independence.
Required Qualifications
Active Florida Physical Therapist (PT) license (required)
Bachelors degree in Physical Therapy (Masters preferred)
Minimum 2 years of recent acute care physical therapy experience (required)
BLS certification required within 30 days of hire
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized plans of care in alignment with physician orders and patient goals.
Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions to improve strength mobility endurance balance and functional performance.
Monitor patient progress through ongoing assessments and modify treatment plans as clinically indicated.
Educate patients families and caregivers on therapeutic exercises mobility techniques and use of adaptive or assistive equipment.
Maintain accurate timely and compliant documentation in accordance with regulatory accreditation and organizational standards.
Manage and prioritize caseloads effectively while ensuring clear communication and continuity of care across interdisciplinary teams.
