Job Summary
About the Opportunity
We are recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join a well-established multidisciplinary building services consultancy in Manchester. This role offers the chance to work across a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial residential public sector science research and mission-critical environments.
This position is well suited to an engineer who is developing their building services design experience and is keen to progress within a supportive technically strong team. You will contribute to projects from concept through to detailed design working closely with senior engineers and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of electrical engineering design across a range of building services projects
- Assist with concept development detailed design calculations drawings reports and specifications
- Coordinate electrical designs with architects mechanical engineers and other consultants

Participate in internal design meetings and technical discussions
- Communicate design information clearly to project teams and external partners
- Take responsibility for allocated design tasks with guidance from senior engineers
- Assist with design reviews compliance checks and quality assurance processes

Support the preparation of project documentation and client deliverables
Requirements
- Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer within building services design

Experience using Revit and BIM workflows

Working knowledge of Dialux Relux and Electrical OM
- Understanding of lighting power distribution containment and life safety systems

Experience working in a consultancy or design-led environment

Ability to work collaboratively with clients architects and contractors

Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Motivated to take ownership of tasks and develop technical expertise
