Job Title: School Psychologist
Location: Columbia SC
Duration: 40 Weeks
Schedule: Full-Time 37.5 hours/week Day Shift: 7:00 AM 2:30 PM 5 days per week
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days on-site / 2 days remote)
Pay Rate: $40 - $48 Per hour
Job Summary:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a licensed School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services to K-12 students promoting academic success and social-emotional well-being. This role combines assessment intervention consultation and collaboration to support students staff and families.
Responsibilities:
Psycho-Educational Assessment: Conduct culturally responsive evaluations including administering scoring and interpreting cognitive academic social-emotional and behavioral assessments.
IEP/504 Collaboration: Participate in multidisciplinary teams to determine special education eligibility develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans and present findings to parents and staff.
Intervention & Counseling: Provide individual and group counseling addressing mental health social-emotional and behavioral needs.
Consultation & Collaboration: Advise parents teachers and administrators on classroom strategies academic interventions and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
Crisis Response: Conduct risk assessments (e.g. threat suicide) and participate in crisis prevention and post-crisis support.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze assessment and progress monitoring data to guide interventions and inform school-wide practices such as Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS).
Compliance: Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to federal state and district regulations and ethical standards.
Qualifications:
Required:
Current South Carolina School Psychologist license/certification
Masters Specialist (Ed.S./Psy.S.) or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
Experience working with K-12 students
Availability for full-time schedule with a minimum of 3 on-site days
Strong written and verbal communication collaboration and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
Experience with diverse K-12 populations
Familiarity with South Carolina school district procedures
Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) credential
