DescriptionThe Product Hierarchy Management - Analyst is responsible for the development maintenance and governance of the product hierarchy for Ford Service Parts. This role involves a deep understanding of automotive parts their engineering specifications functionality and application within Ford vehicles.
The Analyst will work cross-functionally with engineering Category Mangers. marketing sales and customer service teams to ensure the product hierarchy accurately reflects the Ford Service Parts portfolio and supports business objectives including efficient part identification grouping data analysis and customer satisfaction.
ResponsibilitiesProduct Hierarchy Development and Maintenance:
- Develop and maintain the Ford Service Parts product hierarchy ensuring accuracy consistency and alignment with business needs.
- Classify new and existing parts according to the established hierarchy considering engineering specifications functionality and vehicle application.
- Regularly review and update the product hierarchy to reflect changes in the Part classification new product introductions and market trends.
- Identify and resolve inconsistencies or gaps in the product hierarchy.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze product data to identify trends patterns and opportunities for improvement in the product hierarchy.
- Develop and maintain reports on product hierarchy performance including data quality metrics and classification accuracy.
- Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making related to product strategy Parts performance Study and inventory management.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with engineering teams to understand part specifications functionality and application.
- Work with COE Pricing team to align the product hierarchy with MLI driven strategies and customer segmentation.
- Partner with sales and customer service teams to ensure the product hierarchy supports efficient part identification.
- Participate in cross-functional projects related to product data classification and system enhancements.
Governance and Documentation:
- Develop and maintain documentation for the product hierarchy including definitions guidelines and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with data governance policies and standards.
- Train and support other team members on the product hierarchy and related processes.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the product hierarchy management process.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance data quality reduce errors and streamline workflows.
- Stay up to date on industry best practices for product hierarchy management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering Business Administration Supply Chain Management or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in product data management product hierarchy management or a related role preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of automotive parts systems and terminology.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g. Alteryx Excel SQL Power BI).
- Experience with product data management systems (e.g. GPPT E-CATGIBIS).
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
