Job Summary

Teach ICT at a wonderful IB school in Qatar.

School Info:

This lovely school opened in August 2019 as an IB Candidacy school embracing the Canadian Curriculum of August 2020 it expanded their grades from Pre-KG to upper Elementary. The teaching staff comes primarily from native English-speaking regions. They have established a welcoming and caring environment that focuses on moving every child to his or her potential.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Deliver STEM-oriented ICT instruction through project-based learning methods.

2. Attends professional development and training related to STEM programs and methodologies staying abreast of current research.

3. Works directly with school administrators and staff in the development implementation and evaluation of STEM initiatives and curriculum.

4. Organizes develops and coordinates special STEM events/activities.

5. Coaches teachers on STEM initiatives and instructional best practices in the STEM areas.

6. Serves as liaison to prospective or selected STEM vendors to determine the best resources options and innovations that will optimize the learning experience for students and staff.

7. Initiates new programs that support the STEM vision.

8. Shares STEM events and activities through social media such as Facebook Twitter and Instagram

Requirements

Must hold a Computer Science degree with prior ICT/Computer Science Teacher experience
Must be available immediately with a joining date of no later than August 24th (we actually start August 19th with an intensive orientation program until August 30)

IB experience is a plus

-Monthly tax-free salary QR 12000 to 15000 depending on years of experience (US $39452 to $49315 annually)
