Job Summary:
The X-Ray Technician will perform radiographic procedures on patients in various settings including adult acute care adult outpatient ER ICU NICU and operating rooms. This role requires proficiency in a wide range of X-ray skills including abdomen chest head spine and extremities as well as mobile and surgical X-ray techniques. The technician will work during 3rd shift/nights three 12-hour shifts per week with on-call and holiday responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
- Perform abdomen X-rays (decubitus supine/KUB upright).
- Conduct chest and thorax X-rays (AP lateral decubitus routine upper airway).
- Operate O-ARM equipment.
- Perform head X-rays (facial bones orbits paranasal sinuses skull temporomandibular joints).
- Conduct lower extremity X-rays (ankle femur foot knee tibia-fibula).
- Perform mobile/surgical X-rays (C-Arm procedure portable abdomen portable chest).
- Conduct spine and pelvis X-rays (cervical hip lumbar pelvis sacrum/coccyx thoracic).
- Perform upper extremity X-rays (clavicle elbow forearm hand scapula shoulder trauma shoulder/humerus wrist).
- Document patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- ARRT certification
- BLS certification
- IL state license
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Required Work Setting Experience: Adult Acute Care Adult Outpatient ER ICU NICU Operating Room.
- Required Abdomen/ GI X-Ray Skills/Experience: Abdomen decubitus Abdomen supine (KUB) Abdomen upright.
- Required Chest and Thorax X-Ray Skills/Experience: Chest AP Chest Lateral Decubitus Chest routine Upper Airway (soft tissue neck).
- Required Equipment Experience: O-ARM.
- Required Head X-Ray Skills/Experience: Facial bones Orbits Paranasal sinuses Skull Temporomandibular joints.
- Required Lower Extremity X-Ray Skills/Experience: Ankle Femur Foot Knee Tibia-Fibula.
- Required Mobile/Surgical X-Ray Skills/Experience: C-Arm Procedure Portable abdomen Portable Chest.
- Required Spine and Pelvis X-Ray Skills/Experience: Cervical Spine Hip Lumbar Spine Pelvis Sacrum and/or Coccyx Thoracic Spine.
- Required Upper Extremity X-Ray Skills/Experience: Clavicle Elbow Forearm Hand Scapula Shoulder Trauma shoulder or Humerus (Scapular Y Transthoracic Axial) Wrist.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Cerner experience
- Level I Trauma experience
Special Considerations:
- On-call required as needed.
- Will work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
- Clinicians will not float outside their scope.
- Parking permit required no cost.
Scheduling:
- 3rd shift/nights three 12-hour shifts per week.
- Schedule requests can be discussed with the manager.
- Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without pay.
- Being placed on-call in lieu of being called off counts as a called-off shift.
