At DTU Construct you will lead the research area of Naval Architecture andMaritimeOperations for international sea surface transport where Denmark plays a significant role as it is among the Worlds Top Ten Maritime Nations.
Responsibilities and qualifications
Your overall focus will be to strengthen the departments competences within Naval Architectures andMaritimeOperations.
Focus for the position is on safe and energy efficient maritime engineering operations at sea with particular attention to the dynamics of vessel movements and other wave induced responses in relation to operational guidance and tracking.
You will successfully develop a strong research group within maritime engineering. You can motivate and engage younger colleagues. You will collaborate with other colleagues and research groups inside the department as well as across DTUand with both academic and industrial partners in Denmark as well as abroad. Your ability to work collaboratively and foster a supportive learning environment with room for innovation is key to success.

You are expected to take a lead role in teaching at the BEng BSc MSc and PhD levels.
DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English. You are expected to be fluent in at least one of these languages and in time are expected to master both.

Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
