Job Overview
IIQAF Group is hiring an experienced Chef / Cook to join our hospitality operations in Canada. The successful candidate will be responsible for food preparation menu execution kitchen operations and maintaining high culinary standards across hotel restaurant or hospitality environments.
This role is ideal for a passionate culinary professional with strong knowledge of commercial kitchens food safety menu planning and high-volume food production.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cook and present high-quality meals according to menu specifications and recipes
- Manage daily kitchen operations food preparation and service execution
- Ensure compliance with food safety sanitation and hygiene standards (HACCP)
- Monitor food quality portion control and presentation
- Assist with menu planning inventory management and food costing
- Maintain clean organized and efficient commercial kitchen environments
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food service
- Adhere to hospitality industry standards and company policies
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Chef Cook or Culinary Professional in the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of commercial kitchen operations and food preparation techniques
- Understanding of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Excellent time management and teamwork skills
- Passion for quality consistency and customer satisfaction
Preferred Qualifications
- Culinary certification or professional cooking diploma
- Experience in hotels resorts fine dining or high-volume restaurants
- Knowledge of international cuisine menu development and plating standards
