Job Summary
Solution Architect Applications (Technical Lead)
Our Client in the financial services industry is making a strong investment in the development of technical solutions to realise a strategic program. This initiative supports the ambition of the organisation. The program starts in Q1 2026 and aims to deliver new technical solutions to bring this initiative live.
We are looking for someone who can advise the IT organisation on application solution architecture and are responsible for delivering the solution architecture for the program. Once designs are defined the successful candidate will support the Agile team in realising the technical implementation acting as Technical Lead.
Engagement
The objective is to strengthen an existing team.
We are looking for someone with several years of experience as a Solution Architect and Technical Lead with broad expertise in solution design and deep hands-on knowledge of application development specifically:
Solution Design in an Agile Context
Experience with full-stack application architecture
Knowledge of the healthcare sector and its architecture is a plus
Experience with both on-premise and cloud architectures
Data Management
Deep knowledge of data and analytics
Experience with rule-engine-like solutions
Experience integrating and exchanging data with third parties
Application Development
In-depth experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Java or Python
Databases
Experience with Oracle RDBMS and related tooling
Experience with vector databases
Experience with SageMaker Studio is a plus
Scrum / Agile Framework
Strong experience with Scrum
Coaching developers to help achieve team goals
The right candidate is immediately available and able to start the assignment at short notice.
Focus of the Role
Delivering the solution architecture for the evidence-based prevention programme in collaboration with enterprise architecture and the team
Translating functional requirements and business needs into solution architecture documented using 41 architecture views
Delivering architectural building blocks incrementally together with the team (MVP-driven approach)
Providing hands-on support during project implementation
Taking an advisory role from a solution architecture perspective to drive optimisation and efficiency including evolution towards automation self-service and standardised services for the business
Working in an Agile way aligned with the vision of frequent usable deliveries
Knowledge of local languages (Dutch and/or French speaking and/or understanding) and English
Responsibilities
Responsible for the design development and integration of IT systems in alignment with Enterprise Architecture
Deliver complex projects by analysing and understanding customer needs identifying gaps between business requirements and technical implementation and defining solutions to bridge those gaps
Explain technical issues and IT solution strategies to stakeholders and other IT professionals
Deliver the project roadmap in collaboration with Architecture Security and Infrastructure teams
Identify project dependencies and decide what is delivered when and in which project
Collaborate with other IT teams when designing the solution architecture
Create architecture design views using the 41 model:
Define logical and process views in co-creation with the domain architect
Define implementation and physical views in co-creation with the team
Identify business risks related to solution implementation and ensure mitigation
Implementation
Ensure architecture views (41) remain up to date throughout the project via incremental updates
Ensure that the implemented solution architecture remains aligned with customer needs
Actively contribute as Technical Lead during project implementation
