Job Summary
Boscovs Senior Accountant

Reporting to the Director of Accounting with significant interaction directly with the VP of Accounting Controller. This positions primary responsibilities are listed below.
Responsibilities
- Perform month-end financial close process including journal entries general ledger accounts and intercompany reconciliations
- Analyze financial data and perform variance analysis
- Deliver all required accounting data accurately and on time
- Prepare monthly expense accrual and prepaid journal entries by business unit
- Conduct monthly and Year-End Inventory calculations
- Monthly financial reporting Boscovs Hair Center & Aviation P&L
- Help maintain company lease database
- Manage yearly square-footage calculation and coordinate with Stores and Buyers to complete.
- Provide annual external audit support for assigned tasks from the interim and year-end client checklists
- Help coordinate 2 external yearly bank audits
- Share Selling Department Profit and Loss monthly processing responsibilities with Manager
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
- Three to five years related job experience.
- Strong accounting organizational and analytical skills
- Strategic planning aptitude for process improvement goals
- Full cycle accounting knowledge
- Excellent communication skills
- Work wells individually and as a team player in a fast-paced office environment
- Strong windows excel and word skills
- Experience with PeopleSoft or other web-based accounting program is a plus.
