We are a free and confidential service for adults (18) in Liverpool who are experiencing difficulties with substances.
We believe everyone has the ability to make positive changes. We work with individuals families carers and professionals to offer support thats right for you.
Whether you need one-to-one help group sessions or access to medication and treatment were here for you.
Volunteers play a crucial role in helping us bring our vision to life and deliver our services effectively. Their dedication strengthens the quality reach and accessibility of our support allowing us to help even more people.
Responsibilities
At RIVER you will be working with people to help them change the direction of their life grow as an individual and live life to its full potential. Making the decision to enter treatment can be an intimidating experience so its paramount that we create a welcoming and caring environment which is non-judgmental.
Assessment is a key opportunity to engage people your role will be to listen to our service users to understand their needs and support them to access the right intervention at the right time in a way that best meets their needs. You will be advising service users about the options that are available to them both within the service and the wider community and offering them appropriate knowledge advice and equipment to enable them to keep themselves safe. You will be provided with all the skills knowledge training and support to undertake the role.
- Interviews: Will take place towards the last two weeks of February2026
- Training will start on the third week of March (1 day per week for 6 weeks).
