Locum Hospitalist Sydney

Cape Breton Regional Hospital (CBRH) in Sydney Nova Scotia is seeking locum Hospitalist Physicians to join their team during active recruitment.

The remuneration model includes a daily rate under the provincial hospitalist agreement supplemented by a stipend and fee-for-service billings for on-call work.

CBRH features 7 hospitalist lines with patients distributed across various units in the hospital excluding the ICU. Each locum hospitalist is responsible for a maximum of 15 patients and call requirements are limited to one night per week worked.

Relocation support programs are in place to assist you and your family including help with finding housing securing daycare for young children and addressing other challenges associated with transitioning to a new community.

Expected Hours

Daytime coverage is 8am to 5pm and on-call coverage is 5pm to 8am split between physicians covering the service for the week.

Qualifications :

• eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
• eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) 
• membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
