The Opportunity
Achieve Atlanta seeks an enthusiastic Onboarding Manager Scholarship & Affordability to develop manage and evaluate all Achieve Atlanta Scholarship onboarding programming. This role ensures a seamless equitable and supportive integration into the Scholar community by managing the planning implementation and assessment of onboarding events and processes. The Manager will develop engaging content coordinate programming and collaborate extensively with internal teams and external partners to support students from scholarship acceptance through their first year of college. Reporting to the Senior Director Scholarship & Affordability this position may recruit supervise and mentor interns or contractors engaged in onboarding content development and program support in the future.
Primary Responsibilities
Program Development and Management
- Design and implement onboarding processes that align with Achieve Atlantas strategic vision for Scholar success and persistence by helping students understand scholarship requirements program expectations and next steps.
- Coordinate and execute onboarding activities for Scholars and families that support enrollment and persistence.
- Create engaging digital in-person virtual and print onboarding programming to address data-informed barriers to enrollment and first-year persistence (e.g. affordability college readiness financial aid and community integration.
- Continuously refine onboarding strategies based on feedback and outcomes.
- Develop and implement training and resources to ensure seamless service delivery to students by internal and external partners.
- Project manage Scholar Night as a cornerstone engagement initiative of the Scholar onboarding experience.
Student Support & Guidance
- Be a primary resource for students and families offering guidance on activating and maintaining the AATL Scholarship.
- Guide students through critical steps from scholarship acceptance to college matriculation.
- Develop and implement proactive communication and resources (e.g. checklists webinars FAQs) to ensure students and families are informed and prepared to complete the college enrollment process.
- Monitor student progress during the enrollment period and build and deploy proactive intervention systems to address challenges.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop engaging content and materials.
- Collaborate with postsecondary institutions to ensure seamless onboarding for incoming Scholars
- Coordinate logistics and program delivery with internal teams and external partners to continuously support quality enrollment that lays the foundation for continued college persistence.
- Work closely with internal teams and external partners to integrate resources and content into onboarding experiences.
- Serve as a liaison for onboarding-related inquiries and training requests.
- Offer flexible support across team functions to ensure the successful delivery of priority projects.
Assessment & Evaluation
- Monitor and report on onboarding outcomes and metrics to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Use data-informed insights to improve onboarding processes and retention efforts.
- Analyze enrollment and persistence data to identify trends and inform improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure assessment findings are integrated into broader student success strategies.

Education Experience & Knowledge
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- Minimum of three years of professional work experience in a related field
- Experience designing programs and the evaluation and implementation processes
- Experience with spreadsheet software data dashboards and databases
- Knowledge of and experience with college access or postsecondary guidance efforts with students from underserved backgrounds
- Understanding of barriers to college enrollment and persistence for underrepresented youth
- Bilingual in Spanish desired to support students and families
