Turner & Townsend is seeking an Associate Director MEP Program/ Project Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the design of mechanical system upgrades and retrofits. This includes building matrixed design teams from the clients internal design and external design services partners/providers facilitating the creation of a shared plan for the execution and oversight of design services provided by an external design team in support of construction activities. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mission critical design and construction as well new product development and insertion.
You proactively identify organize and lead program activities and stakeholders in order to successfully deliver business operational and technical improvements. You scope phase and lead ambiguous cross-functional and cross-organizational challenges including delivering downstream change management alongside your stakeholder team. You ensure alignment of senior cross-functional and cross-organizational stakeholders. You have advanced knowledge of the domain of your program.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify stakeholders and work with them to strategize plan and prioritize objectives and success criteria. Estimate task durations and ensure schedules and dependencies are aligned and support those objectives within an organization.
- Effectively monitor and communicate progress and risks. Propose mitigation plans and align stakeholders on de-risking strategies.
- Measure and publish program and process metrics to drive consensus in teams understanding of issues and to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Seek out and apply relevant best practices from other clients processes and technologies.
- Proactively identify and implement technical and business programs and processes in medium to large work groups and drive ideas and solutions to address.
- Organize ambiguous projects into clear longer-term (6 months) objectives.
- Foster collaboration with program teams across an organization. Understand and address their needs to support them throughout their life cycles.
- Guide alignment on timelines goals and deliverables of related projects and teams.
- Manage escalations and unblock obstacles.
- Break down programs and processes into components that could be executed by partner teams.
- Independently design and deliver optimized program communication plans including executive and key partner communications.
- Optimize regular checkpoints and metrics dashboards.
- Ensure stakeholders are aligned on rationale for program pivots.
- Independently determine and collect data required to govern programs and effectively drive stakeholder decision-making.
- Independently maintain project trackers and status reports.
- Identify and execute on program tasks including proactively managing dependencies while incorporating Product Excellence values Product Inclusion and brand trust and reputation.
- Create automated processes to enhance velocity and monitoring.
- Lead effective program stakeholder meetings.
- Independently develop change management rollout plans for programs including impact analysis.
- Across multiple teams independently define lead and own program charter(s) that address scope and timeline OKRs resourcing and risks/dependencies of moderately complex programs.
- Translate ambiguous program goals into clear and measurable objectives/milestones.
- Create project plans that break down a project into discrete phases aligned to the needs of stakeholders include risks/dependencies and support proactive identification of program constraints.
- Effectively build trusted relationships with senior program stakeholders to proactively enable effective decision making.
- Across multiple teams develop technical analysis tools and processes that support engineering execution excellence and velocity.
- Perform technical due diligence to evaluate engineering scope determine milestones timeframe and engineering resourcing needs.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree in Mech Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum 5-10 years experience in Mech Engineering.
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Thorough understanding of mechanical engineering principles practices and related technical areas.
- Knowledge of industry construction methods and techniques.
- Self-motivated with the ability to analyze and resolve issues promptly.
- Able to work independently with minimal oversight for extended periods.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to stay focused on multiple projects throughout various development phases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective technical communication including delivering presentations to large audiences.
- Possess advanced planning and communication management skills. Able to apply these skills in difficult situations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in continuous improvement execution organizational change and stakeholder management. Able to apply these skills in typical situations with minimal guidance.
- Ability to listen effectively to stakeholders to communicate program goals progress and health to them in a manner tailored to their interests and concerns at all levels and to drive understanding and inform decisions.
- Ability to establish systems to identify improvements and drive future needs around business processes products or services on an ongoing basis through measurement of performance progress and success metrics. Ability to organize and manage the
activities that lead to the outcomes of a project to deliver results on time. Effectively monitor and communicate progress risks and mitigations. - Ability to discern when a change is appropriate and to drive change across the organization working closely with partner teams to manage and communicate changes introducing them in the least disruptive manner. Put systems and mechanisms in place to facilitate future changes.

The salary range for this full-time role is $160K-$190K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range depending on candidates experience and qualifications.
