Job Summary
Mechanical Technician
The Mechanical Technician is responsible for installing maintaining troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance safety and reliability.
- Install assemble and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs efficiently
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings schematics and technical manuals
- Conduct inspections and routine checks to ensure equipment functionality
- Replace or repair defective parts such as bearings belts valves pumps and motors
- Ensure compliance with safety quality and environmental standards
- Maintain maintenance records logs and reports
- Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to improve equipment performance
- Assist in equipment upgrades modifications and commissioning activities
Qualifications :
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components
- Ability to use hand tools power tools and precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of hydraulics pneumatics and rotating equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Attention to detail and safety awareness
