SUMMARY

The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee all maintenance activities within our dairy manufacturing plant to ensure optimal functioning of equipment and facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Direct and coordinate activities of technicians engaged in repair maintenance and installation of machines tools and equipment and in maintenance of buildings and grounds.
  • Coordinate and oversee preventative maintenance troubleshooting and repair of all machinery and equipment used in production.
  • Manage maintenance of the plants infrastructure including building utilities HVAC systems and wastewater treatment facilities ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment ensuring adequate supplies are available to minimize downtime and facilitate timely repairs.
  • Active engagement in waste reduction including machine downtime reduction and throughput improvements.
  • Establish and maintain communication across shifts and departments including shift notes in-person pass-downs shift meetings etc.
  • Supports SQF by maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and keeping the work area in a sanitary manner.
  • Must be available (on-call) to handle maintenance-related emergencies that occur during off-shift hours including holidays and weekends.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience required.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience is required.
  • Electrical experience preferred.

  • The work environment may require working in the cooler room with varying degrees of temperature and may include contact with water or dairy liquids.
  • Exposed to a noise level of 90 The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate/high. Wet/slippery work conditions.
