McCandlish Holting is seeking a litigation associate to join our growing workers compensation defense practice in Richmond Virginia. We aggressively defend a wide variety of employers and insurance companies throughout the state. Our attorneys handle all aspects of litigation and appeals before the Virginia Workers Compensation Commission the Court of Appeals of Virginia and the Supreme Court of Virginia.

The attorneys in our workers compensation practice group are recognized leaders in the defense of claims throughout Virginia. Successful candidates will be motivated detail-oriented and capable of confident and articulate oral and written expression. Immediate courtroom experience available.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Conducting depositions.
Gathering evidence to be used at hearing.
Managing multiple cases from file opening to hearing.
Consulting with clients.
Representing clients at hearing.
Drafting briefs and motions.
Drafting discovery responses.
Interviewing key witnesses.
Analyzing evidence to recommend legal strategies.
Reviewing medical records and consulting with physicians.
Evaluating cases for settlement value.
Sitting reading typing writing and talking
