Responsible for working within the established guidelines of the Laboratory Department as assigned. As a professional the MTis responsible forcarrying out the philosophy andobjectivesdefined byregulatory requirements and hospitalstandard operating procedures.Foremost amongthese responsibilities are strictly adhering to detail in the technical performance of laboratory procedures solving practical and analytical problems resolving conflict and implementing constructive change.

Responsibilities
- Performs testing and test procedures according to established policies and guidelines
- Interprets quality control results and instrument function
- Completes scheduled preventive maintenance duties
- Provides assistanceand guidance involving repairs validations and function checksand works with vendors as appropriate
- Collects blood specimens etc. from laboratory outpatients
- Assistsand completes investigations involving unexpected or adverse outcomesand keeps documentation according to regulatory guidelines
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors degree with major in Medical Technology or related science .
Experience:
License(s)/Certification(s):
- Certified as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist by Board of Registry of ASCP or equivalent due upon hire or within one (1) year from date of hire .
