The Arizona Department of Economic Security (AZDES) Division of Technology Services (DTS) is seeking an experienced Developer to support development maintenance and enhancement of enterprise web applications. The ideal candidate has development experience strong SQL capabilities and proven experience in full life cycle software development.

This position is local-only requiring candidates to reside in the Phoenix AZ area be available for in person interviews and able to start within two weeks of an offer.

• Design develop test and web applications for business solutions.
• Write review and optimize complex SQL queries; apply best practices for database performance.
• Review coded and compiled programs for quality and compliance with specifications.
• Create and execute unit tests; prepare test data to validate software functionality.
• Analyze automation requests and provide technical recommendations.
• Develop project timelines work plans and cost estimates.
• Produce and maintain all required SDM technical documentation (Technical Specs Design Documents etc.).
• Collaborate closely with users and business teams to understand requirements and provide enhancements or system fixes.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC including design coding testing deployment and documentation.
• Prepare periodic project status reports and communicate progress with stakeholders.
• Attend technical and staff meetings as needed.

• 10 years of development experience
• Strong SQL development and optimization skills
• Experience designing and debugging enterprise-level applications
• Ability to produce high quality technical documentation
• Experience conducting unit testing and preparing test data

• Experience with full life cycle development (concept through deployment)
• Experience preparing SDM technical documentation (Technical Specs Design Docs)
• Ability to review code and perform peer testing
