Job Summary

Job Description (Short Summary)

Senior Civil Engineer responsible for supporting natural gas capital projects (distribution transmission compression and storage). Role includes scoping coordinating design work reviewing engineering deliverables supporting construction contracts and managing project closeout activities. Frequent site visits required.

Key Responsibilities

Scope civil engineering design and construction needs for projects.
Coordinate consulting engineering services and prepare contract documents.
Provide technical reviews and civil engineering guidance.
Support construction bidding and project execution.
Complete project closeout (record drawings test records).
Provide regular project updates including risks to cost schedule and quality.
Travel to project sites 3 days/week (up to 5 days/week).

Required Skills

Knowledge of site design stormwater foundations metal buildings environmental permitting.
Experience creating engineering drawings/specifications.
Familiarity with IBC AISC ACI 318 AWS D1.1 ASCE 7.
Strong communication leadership and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work safely and independently.

Education

Bachelors in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited) Required
PE License in Michigan Preferred
