We are seeking a dedicated candidate EU Healthcare Assistant - HCA to join our team in providing personalized care and support to individuals living with dementia in our Nursing Home based in Co Waterford.
This position is open only to applicants who hold EU/EEA citizenship or have an existing unrestricted right to work in Ireland.
Permanent Full-time
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality personal care including assistance with mobility dressing bathing and toileting.
Support residents with meals hydration and daily living activities.
Offer companionship and emotional support to promote wellbeing dignity and independence.
Monitor record and report observations promptly escalating any changes to nursing staff.
Work collaboratively with the wider care team to maintain a safe respectful and supportive environment.
Maintain accurate timely and confidential documentation of all care provided
Requirements
Demonstrate a compassionate reliable and positive attitude with a genuine interest in caring for older adults.
Must be an EU/EEA citizenship or have an existing unrestricted right to work in Ireland
Ideally have at least 1 year of experience in elder care or a similar caregiving role (desirable not essential).
Hold or be in the process of completing QQI Level 5 in Healthcare.
Be fluent in spoken and written English.
Possess satisfactory Garda clearance and appropriate character references.
