Responsibilities
Machine Operator
Downingtown PA
Compensation Includes:
- Starting rate at $23.01/hour
- Pay differential added for 2nd shift and 3rd shift
Available Shifts:
- 1st: 7:00am - 3:00pm
2nd: 3:00pm - 11:00pm
3rd: 11:00pm - 7:00am
Responsibilities
- Consistently operates zone of forming machines at or above standard levels considering waste efficiency and utilization
- Troubleshoot causes of machine malfunctions
- Make appropriate adjustments or repairs to ensure that the quality of the cartons meeting specifications and that the machines operate properly
- Conducts quality checks at regular intervals and takes corrective action to fix defects identified
- Performs minor repairs during production
- Performs changeovers
- Performs weekly machine maintenance
- Communicates with the operator from the previous and following shifts and with supervisors to review any problems experienced on the machines throughout the department
- Performs purge procedures when changing to a new product and completes the required checklists
- Follows LOTO and alternative LOTO procedures
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Some mechanical experience prefrerred
- HS diploma or GED equivalent is required
- The ability to read and understand safety protocols and equipment manuals written in English is required
