Position Overview:
AECOM is seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance Specialist to manage and oversee environmental compliance tasks regulatory adherence and sustainability initiatives. The role involves ensuring compliance with state and central regulations maintaining environmental records and supporting regulatory filings and inspections. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental compliance waste management and regulatory coordination within IT/tech semiconductor or R&D facilities.
Preferred Requirements:
Environmental Compliance Management
Manage daily environmental compliance tasks and ensure adherence to state and central regulations.
Maintain and update the environmental legal register tracking rule changes and their impacts.
Prepare and submit monthly quarterly half-yearly and annual environmental reports.
Support regulatory portal updates consent renewals and permit applications.
Plastic & Battery Waste EPR Compliance
Lead Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance for Plastic and Battery Waste.
Obtain and maintain EPR certificates through CPCB/SPCB portals.
Coordinate data collection validation and submission for EPR filings.
Regulatory & Agency Coordination
Coordinate environmental inspections with Pollution Control Boards and other regulatory bodies.
Prepare compliance documentation sampling records and post-inspection responses.
Track corrective actions and ensure timely closure.
Waste & Sampling Management
Oversee onsite waste segregation storage handling and vendor compliance.
Conduct waste determinations profile reviews and documentation QA/QC.
Review environmental sampling and lab reports for regulatory compliance.
Chemical & Project Support
Review chemical use requests on Intels approval systems (e.g. I-CHEM CCUA Smartsheet).
Support new environmental and facility projects by identifying required regulatory actions.
Documentation & Coordination
Maintain ISO-aligned environmental records and SharePoint documentation.
Provide weekly and monthly compliance updates to Intel EHS.
Coordinate with operations supply chain business units vendors and Government Affairs
Qualifications :
Bachelors/Masters degree in Environmental Engineering Environmental Science Chemical Engineering or a related field.
Additional Information :
810 years of environmental compliance experience in IT/tech semiconductor or R&D facilities.
Proven experience obtaining EPR certificates from CPCB/SPCB.
Strong knowledge of Plastic Waste Rules Battery Waste Rules Hazardous Waste Rules Air/Water Acts and EPR requirements.
Experience with environmental inspections waste management sampling QA/QC and regulatory reporting.
Familiarity with ISO 14001 systems and SharePoint.
