Shift Options
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM 11:30 PM
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM 7:30 AM
Compensation
Hourly Pay Range: $27 $32 per hour
Position Summary
The facility is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) to support surgical and clinical operations. This role is responsible for the decontamination assembly sterilization and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment while adhering to national standards and facility protocols to ensure patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
Decontaminate inspect assemble wrap and sterilize surgical instruments and trays
Operate sterilization equipment including:
Autoclaves
Washer-disinfectors
Ultrasonic cleaners
Perform and document biological and chemical indicator testing to validate sterilization processes
Maintain accurate sterilization records and instrument tracking documentation
Organize restock and distribute sterile supplies and equipment throughout the facility
Adhere to infection control safety and regulatory standards
Collaborate with operating room and nursing staff to ensure timely instrument availability
Required Experience
Minimum 2 years of recent Sterile Processing experience in a hospital or surgical services environment
Strong knowledge of:
Surgical instrument identification
Sterilization methods and techniques
Infection prevention and control standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced team-oriented setting
Required Certifications (Must be active at start)
CRCST Certified Registered Central Service Technician (HSPA)
AHA BLS Basic Life Support
