Job Summary

We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert Chairlift and Funicular Systems to be based in NEOM for a duration of 12 months.

This role is to provide expert knowledge and technical guidance on the construction and commissioning phases of chairlift and funicular systems used in ski resorts mountain tourism urban transit and other recreational areas. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the quality safety reliability and efficiency of these transportation systems.

The SME will serve as a key technical advisor in the design analysis implementation of construction and commissioning phases and ensuring best practices and compliance with industry standards.

The candidate will be responsible for identifying and addressing the issues during the construction and commissioning phases.

 Job Description

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all aspects of chairlift and funicular system installation and commissioning.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards safety regulations and technical specifications.
  • Lead and oversee technical assessments troubleshooting and addressing issues related to system performance.
  • Provide technical direction and support throughout the lifecycle of chairlift and funicular projects from construction commissioning to operational readiness.
  • Develop and recommend the best practices for the inspections and commissioning of chairlifts and funicular systems.
  • Provide training mentoring and technical support to ETSD Q&E Inspectors to enhance their understanding and capabilities in chairlift and funicular systems.
  • Stay updated with the latest technological advancements industry trends and best practices in chairlift and funicular systems. Contribute to the development of new technologies and methods to improve system performance safety and efficiency.

Qualifications :

  • Knowledge Skills and Experience

    Knowledge Construction and commissioning knowledge of specific lift systems such as detachable chairlifts gondolas or funicular railways.

    Skills Expertise in mechanical electrical and control systems for chairlifts and funiculars. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of chairlifts and funicular systems. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders and lead crossfunctional teams effectively.

    Experience Experience with risk assessments in the transportation or recreational sectors. Experience with specific lift systems such as detachable chairlifts gondolas or funicular railways.

     

     

    Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related field. Specialized training or certifications in lift and funicular systems are a plus.
  • At least 10 years of experience in installation maintenance and operation of chairlift and/or funicular systems. Experience in ski resorts urban transport systems or recreational transportation industries is highly preferred.
