Zapdeck is one of the leading AI tools for professional slide creation. We help teams save significant time when creating presentations.
At the core of Zapdeck is an innovative agentic AI that generates complete presentations with fully on-brand design. Users work in an intuitive editor that allows them to chat with the AI assistant create storylines and fine-tune slide design.
Zapdeck has secured pre-seed funding receives strong market feedback and already serves enterprise customers with thousands of employees. We are on track to become one of Germanys leading AI startups.
You will join a highly experienced founding team: Our co-founder and CEO Frederik is a former BCG consultant and our co-founder and CTO Riccardo previously served as Technical CPO at the InsurTech startup INZMO.
Tasks
- Own front-end execution: Lead the overall front-end implementation of our AI product focusing on performance scalability and code quality
- Build our design system foundation: Drive the development of a scalable library of reusable and customizable design components
- Develop interactive UI features: Build innovative user-facing features such as a drag-and-drop slide editor and an AI assistant chat
- Contribute to product strategy: Shape product decisions by providing input on front-end capabilities trade-offs and technical constraints
- Grow and manage the team: Hire engineers plan the technical product roadmap and act as a sparring partner for junior team members
Requirements
Professional requirements
- 45 years of experience building front-end technology for advanced SaaS products with a strong focus on React and TypeScript
- Proven experience developing custom component libraries and complex front-end features (e.g. whiteboards design tools video editing or live collaboration)
- Hands-on experience with advanced CSS (SCSS CSS-in-JS styled components) as well as Canvas- and SVG-based rendering
- Strong understanding of MVC and MVVM patterns and experience integrating RESTful APIs
- Strong design affinity with an exceptional eye for detail and high standards for UI/UX implementation quality
- Bonus: Entrepreneurial mindset ideally demonstrated through experience as a startup co-founder founding engineer or participant in a startup accelerator
Other requirements
- Residency in Berlin or the surrounding area
- Fluency in English our primary business language
- Availability to start on short notice (ideally within one month)
