Job Summary

As a Junior Financial Research Analyst you will play an important role in collecting analyzing and organizing financial data from multiple sources to support senior analysts and client reporting. By leveraging proprietary data and applying both qualitative and quantitative methods you will help public company clients gain a comprehensive view of the Hong Kong and China equity markets and stay informed on evolving investor trends.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection & Analysis: Gather and structure financial data from diverse sources perform in-depth analysis to generate market insights and ensure accuracy through rigorous validation.

Report Creation: Use Excel macro/VBA skills to automate repetitive tasks by developing and maintaining custom templates that streamline data extraction and ensure consistent efficient reporting.

Market Monitoring: Track and interpret trading activity in client stocks identify key investors and provide context on their investment decisions. Compile corporate macroeconomic and market news and present findings in clear concise reports.

Client Deliverables: Support senior analysts in preparing bundled reports on time and assist in addressing client inquiries related to report content

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance Economics or a related field
Strong analytical and Excel skills; familiarity with financial data platforms is an advantage
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills; VBA/Python or other data analytics skills are a plus
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
Ability to work effectively under deadlines and in a team environment
Interest in learning about Hong Kong/China equity markets
Excellent communication skills with strong command of English; Chinese proficiency preferred but not require
