Location: Providence RI
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift 58-Hour (08:0017:00)
Pay Rate: $50$60/hr ($1875$2250 per week)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and licensed Physical Therapist to support an Acute Care department within a high-volume hospital setting in Providence RI. The clinician will manage a diverse caseload across multiple unitsincluding orthopedics ICU emergency medical and surgical. This role offers valuable hands-on acute care exposure with onboarding support from a full-time lead PT.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive patient assessments evaluations and reassessments in an acute care environment
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide mobility and transfer support using gait belts walkers sliding boards and sit-to-stand lifts
Conduct gait training extremity mobilization and functional mobility exercises
Manage post-operative patients (cervical shoulder spine)
Treat conditions such as hip fractures knee injuries tendinopathy and total hip/knee replacements
Assist with discharge planning and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital standards

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy experience (acute care preferred)
Active Rhode Island Physical Therapist license
Ability to float between multiple units as needed
Experience working with adult and geriatric populations
Strong competency in patient mobility transfer techniques and post-operative care
