Job Description:

As a Precision Medicine Liaison (PML) you will harness your expertise in diagnostics and the clinical testing landscape to ensure timely high-quality biomarker-driven testing solutions are available to support optimal treatment decisions.

You will partner with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and collaborators before and after launch working closely with laboratories pathology groups and other healthcare professionals to overcome barriers to testing. Acting as a recognized field diagnostics expert you will provide internal and external stakeholders with deep diagnostic insights and strategic guidance to advance precision medicine.

As a subject matter expert you will deliver in-depth diagnostic expertise and actionable insights supporting healthcare teams and driving biomarker implementation to accelerate the adoption of biomarker-driven therapies.

Accountabilities

  • Drive Testing Enablement: Engage with stakeholders pre- and post-launch to proactively enable biomarker testing at launch and address barriers in national hospitals reference laboratories and select accounts.

  • Build Strategic Relationships: Identify and develop strong relationships within reference labs key accounts (including molecular genomics labs) and pathology groups to gather insights and educate on appropriate testing.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with CVT Teams and the Precision Medicine Lead leveraging market insights to support initiatives and biomarker projects as a subject matter expert.

  • Provide Expert Support: Act as the precision medicine expert to assist customers as requested by the MAF strategy delivering in-depth diagnostic expertise insights and internal team support.

  • Navigate Biomarker complexity: Partner with the CVTs to ensure effective implementation of state-based biomarker testing and integrate these requirements into all interactions with labs and stakeholders.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Educational Background: MD PhD or MSc in Biomedical Sciences Molecular Biology or a related technical field.

  • Experience: Minimum (desirable) of 5 years in Molecular Diagnostics Biomedical Sciences or Clinical Oncology. Prior field or laboratory experience in genomics is valued.

  • Scientific Expertise: Ability to discuss complex scientific content and context with diverse audiences.

  • Executive Presence: Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage.

  • Collaboration & Networking: Proven ability to build networks and work effectively in cross-functional settings navigating across tumor teams in both field to achieve common goals.

  • Genomics & Diagnostics Knowledge: Technical fluency in genomic testing diagnostic workflows and the oncology patient journey.

  • Core Skills: Stakeholder mapping project management and a business development mindset to identify partnership opportunities.

  • Business Acumen: Solid grasp of business strategy related to diagnostics lab networks and external laboratories with experience engaging oncology accounts.

  • Market Awareness: Ability to stay ahead of evolving oncology ecosystems market dynamics diagnostic trends and biomarker legislation applying problem-solving skills to overcome barriers and identify solutions.

  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Resourceful and business-minded capable of identifying opportunities aligned with organizational priorities through data analysis diagnostic requirements and account insights.

  • Goal Setting & Engagement: Ability to set precision medicine objectives across the territory and apply engagement strategies to advance opportunities with target customers. Skilled at influencing and driving initiatives.

  • Mindset: Curious agile field-oriented problem solver; strong communicator and connector between labs oncologists and cross-functional teams.
