Air Liquide Europe Business Services (ALEBS) was created in 2019 in Lisbon Portugal with the mandate to provide financial services for Air Liquide European the space of 4 years it has expanded to over 400 employees based in 3 office locations: Lisbon Tomar and Guarda. The geographical scope was extended to include besides the European affiliates also entities located in Africa Middle-East and India and the operational scope was extended and includes today not just Finance but also Human Resources.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW
Lead the charge in the Order to Cash (O2C) cycle across the vital AMEI region (Africa Middle East India). You will be the pivotal force ensuring all O2C activities are executed flawlessly on time and in strict accordance with company policies Service Level Agreements (SLA) and internal targets. Your leadership will directly translate into a best-in-class customer experience by delivering high-quality services at every touchpoint of the Order to Cash cycle.
Key Leadership and Analytical Responsibilities:
Review and analyze complex Order to Cash reports (e.g. Unapplied unidentified Ageing DSO and INI).
Evaluate the effectiveness of current credit and collection policies against entity standards driving optimization.
Provide strategic inputs to local teams to harmonize the financial billing closing checklist.
Ensure local callback policies are fully compliant with entity guidelines.
Guarantee Accounts Receivable month-end activities are executed precisely and as planned.
Approve regular and urgent credit/debit notes and sales orders.
Supervise and manage urgent and escalated requests for bank account changes.
Manage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) monitor performance and proactively promote corrective actions where necessary.
Strategically manage resource allocation to maximize team efficiency and output.
Strengthen collaboration and actively promote clear channels of communication with both external and internal stakeholders.
Act as the second point of escalation for complex issues providing expert resolution.
Secure the companys best interest representing both the Shared Service Center and the local Country teams.
Ensure the Service Level Agreement (SLA) is always up to date (RACI FTE allocation etc.).
Guarantee all Service updates are duly signed and agreed upon by all relevant parties.
Manage Country escalations and drive the associated action plans to resolution.
Report potential risks/issues and rigorously follow up on action plans with the Country teams.
Team Management and Development:
Manage teams performance and develop targeted correction plans when needed.
Deploy all human resources processes (e.g. annual appraisal etc.) in accordance with HR guidelines.
Design individual development plans and ensure robust succession plans are in place for key roles.
Promote synergy between team members and actively encourage a collaborative team environment.
Set clear goals clarify priorities for team members and ensure the proper follow-up.
Coach support and motivate your team to ensure their success and continuous improvement.
Are you a MATCH
Degree in Accounting / Financial / Management / Economy (Nice to have).
More than 4 years of solid experience in a similar function.
Experience in a Business Services Center is a strong plus.
Experience in a multinational company is highly desirable.
Intermediate proficiency in English (written and spoken) is essential.
Extra languages are valued.
