External lecture position in Management Accounting and Performance Measurement

At the Faculty of Engineering and Science Department of Materials and Production at Aalborg University Aalborg Campus a part-time external lecture position in Management Accounting and Performance Measurement is available starting February 1st. 2026.

Your work tasks

The position is as part-time external lecturer. Teaching will primarily be in Management Accounting and Performance Measurement at the bachelor program Global Business Engineering and/or MSc. program Management Engineering. This includes knowledge on perspectives and theories that inform the financial evaluation of contemporary enterprise functions; principles of activity based costing and various budgeting methods as well as investment methods.

Your Competencies
Applicants must have a Masters level degree in Management Accounting or similar and further high-level qualifications e.g. teaching experience at theuniversity level expertise or practical experience from industry. Teaching qualifications will be included in the assessment.

Qualification requirements
Appointment as a part-time lecturer requires academic qualifications at masters degree level.

Employment as a part-time lecturer requires either relevant practical experience at a high level which has not been achieved through an academic appointment at a university or employment in an principal academic position at another university. When employed due to relevant practical experience you must have in-depth up-to-date knowledge of the subject/subjects applications that has been gained or will be gained through employment in the profession. Teaching qualifications are included in the assessment of applicants for a part-time lectureship.

Department of Materials and Production (MP) is a wide-ranging research and educational environment at Aalborg University. The Departments mission is to meet the futures demands for new materials and production systems by directing the whole value chain from basic material understanding to materials applications in mechanical construction industrial production and management. The department has several strong international and innovative research groups which comprise everything from basic science to strategic and applicable research. The activities encompass research and education within materials mechanics physics production techniques and industrial management and innovation.
