We are seeking a highly skilled Grid Modeling Researcher to join our advanced energy systems team. This role focuses on developing analyzing and optimizing electric grid models to support strategic planning reliability and integration of emerging technologies. The position is strictly limited to U.S. residents applications from outside the United States will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a subject-matter expert on U.S. electricity markets including market design regulatory trends and evolving grid dynamics.
Design and execute experimental modeling approaches including nodal-to-zonal simplification demand-side forecasting and integration of renewable energy and EV load profiles.
Adapt and refine energy system models to reflect regulatory changes and evolving market structures.
Conduct technical and scientific scouting for new approaches in electricity market modeling and optimization.
Collaborate with internal R&D teams and external partners (national labs universities) to coordinate research milestones and stakeholder deliverables.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or higher in Electrical Engineering Power Systems Energy Systems or closely related discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in power systems modeling electricity markets or energy system analysis.
Strong data science and quantitative analysis skills.
Preferred: experience with transmission/distribution modeling grid innovation demand-side forecasting and grid modeling software.
