Position Summary:
The essential function of the Electrician is to provide the service repair maintenance and installation of products primarily to residential customers. The Licensed Electrician utilizes customer service training to educate and assist customers in choosing services products and finance options.
Essential Job Duties:
- Assemble install test and maintain electrical wiring equipment appliances apparatus and fixtures
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems apparatus and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem
- Connect wires to circuit breakers transformers or other components
- Inspect electrical systems equipment and components to identify hazards defects and the need for adjustment or repair and to ensure compliance with codes
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring equipment and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters voltmeters and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety of system
- Maintain current electricians license or identification card to meet governmental regulations
- Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring equipment and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes
- Direct and train workers to install maintain or repair electrical wiring equipment and fixtures
- Prepare sketches or follow blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes
- Price jobs and calculate time to perform work
- Complete necessary paperwork for work performed
- Calculate the cost of service for the customer and collect payment
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The Licensed Electrician will be required to train and work one-on-one with Electrical apprentices.

Education & Experience:
- Must Hold Electrical Master or Journeyman license
- Completed High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must have completed a minimum of 4 years of trade school in Electrical
- Must be willing to participate in technical continuing education
- Minimum of 4 years of related work experience is preferred
- Must have and maintain a valid drivers license with safe driving history
