General Neurosurgeon for Growing Practice in Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland

WellSpan Health is seeking a board certified/board eligible Neurosurgeon for our west region encompassing Chambersburg PA and Hagerstown MD. This is an opportunity to be part of a premier team with 2 established practice sites and strong leadership support. Wellspan Health is a 9-hospital system that includes a multispecialty group of more than 2700 providers.

Position Highlights:

• Walk into a busy established practice of 4 Neurosurgeons and excellent support from 5 APPs
• Primary work location is WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital in Chambersburg PA
• Opportunity to work in Hagerstown MD at WellSpan Parkway Neurosurgery
• Expected case load: 80% Spine and 20% Cranial
• Volumes are rapidly increasing in this region
• State of the art equipment in our 275 bed acute care hospital

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
• Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Licenses:

• Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
• Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

• Boarded in appropriate specialty. Upon Hire Required and
• Completion of a residency. Upon Hire Required

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Teaching skills.
• Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology.
• Good phone skills.
• Excellent Customer Service.
• Organized sets priorities and able to multi-task.
