Compensation: $23 per hour Full-Time - Temporary (6 months)
Schedule: Must have open availability as shifts will vary Fri Sat 11:00am-7:30pm; Sun Mon Tues 7:00a-3:30p. **Schedule will change to evenings-only after 3 months: Sun-Thurs 11:00a-7:30p
Job Summary
Are you someone who finds joy in creating delicious moments and believes that kindness belongs in every kitchen We are seeking a dedicated and consistent Cold Prep/Dishwasher for a temporary the Cold Prep/Dishwasher position you will play a vital role in supporting the nutritional and therapeutic goals of patients recovering from eating disorders. This position ensures that meals are prepared and served in accordance with individualized meal plans and that all kitchen and dishwashing areas maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
What Youll Do
- Prepare and serve cold meals/snacks per recipes portion guides and dietary restrictions.
- Assemble ingredients by slicing chopping mixing and plating with attention to quality and presentation.
- Follow food safety standards including HACCP logs proper labeling dating and storage of food items.
- Store leftovers and rotate stock using FIFO procedures.
- Receive and store deliveries; maintain clean and sanitary workstations and equipment.
- Wash dishes pots pans and utensils; clean dish area and follow daily/weekly cleaning schedules.
- Complete daily check-out with supervisor and perform other duties as assigned.
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment; participate in team huddles and training.
- Respond to client feedback professionally and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Follow all hospital and departmental policies and supervisor directions.
- Work as part of the team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Department Leaders.
What You Will Bring
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in hospital institutional or restaurant food preparation.
- Proficient in the safe and effective use of standard foodservice equipment.
- Strong adaptability and ability to thrive in dynamic environments.
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills.
- Effective planning problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
- High energy self-motivated and capable of multitasking efficiently.
- The ability to work mornings evenings holidays weekends as needed.
- ServSafe Certification and State Food Handler Card.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
- This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes airborne particles and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods lift trays and perform repetitive tasks. Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions extreme temperatures and vibration may occur. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
