Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg Telemetry
Location: Rochester NY 14621-3099
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights 412-hour shifts 19:0007:00
Orientation: 16 Hours

Position Summary
A Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse is needed to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN will be responsible for monitoring cardiac rhythms managing medical-surgical conditions responding to emergencies and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. This position requires strong clinical judgment telemetry proficiency and the ability to work night shifts consistently.
Scheduling & Charting
Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Charting: EPIC experience required
Weekends: Every other weekend
Holidays: Must be available to work every other holiday if needed
RTO: Must be submitted at the time of profile submission
Call-Off Policy: Up to 3 shifts may be canceled by the facility during a 13-week contract
First-Time Travelers: Accepted
Required Licensure & Certifications
Active New York RN License (pending not accepted; NY is not compact)
BLS (AHA) required
Charge Nurse experience REQUIRED
Required Clinical Skills
Cardiac monitoring & emergency response
Dysrhythmia interpretation & management
Rapid Response/Code activation
IV therapy & phlebotomy including peripheral line management
Oxygen therapy (nasal cannula tanks) & non-invasive airway management
Strict adherence to isolation precautions
Must have acute care experience within the last 6 months
Unit Details & Floating
Patient Ratios: 1:5 to 1:7
MS/Tele unit assignment provided at time of offer
Scrub Color: Navy blue and white combination
Floating: Required within skillset to similar units
Additional Details
COVID-19 vaccine not required
Night shift consistency and strong telemetry skills essential
